oh poets…sing to me
nourish me with words
my soul…that is
my mind
for I crave authentic
even vinegar and rust…
drench me with images
full strength
rain showers of amethysts and pearls
north wind pulsing prairie grass
glass shards reflecting light…
sing syllables to me
in harmonies
and heartbeats
that resonate
to my marrow bones

Beautiful Bonnie! Actually, I can call it a bonnie poem 😀
I especially loved the way you got the essence of the poetry here, the use of word syllables in particular:
“sing syllables to me
in harmonies
and heartbeats
that resonate
to my marrow bone”
The last I used the word marrow was in one of my recent poems:http://geetaanjalee.wordpress.com/2013/09/19/love-unbound-in-mausoleum/
Beautiful and the panels perfectly fit to your poem: words in the wind.
I’m sincerely grateful for that.
Bonnie, thank you. I am soaking wet with your rich imagery:
drench me with images
full strength
rain showers of amethysts and pearls
north wind pulsing prairie grass
glass shards reflecting light…
You’re welcome.
