with laughter brimming
waves of cresting
rhythm rocking currents
giving and sustaining…

  1. this lovely poem provides the reader with mostly an ecstatic vision of love. your line “on the brink of drown” stopped me for a couple of seconds because of the unusual use of “drown” and also because of the sound of the word. for me it is probably the most important word in the poem because it provides a bit of danger.
