I shall not conjure you
into a summer’s day
nor to a winter’s night
for you are chance and timing
the missing puzzle shape
to fit wholeness in my life
essential as a fiddle
for bluegrass in a barn
or yeast to flour
to blossom warmth
and leavening for rise

I recall your comment on “And I Shall Lie Me Down,” and how encouraged I felt to continue writing. Thank you, Simon.
Yes, we are all singing with our heads in a bucket until someone is moved enough to send an encouraging note.
Wonderful news Bonnie! It’ll be in my cart tonight. 9 muses huh? Perfect number….
Actually, only two of the muses really know one another. Smile…thank you for buying my book.
I am so happy you have published some of your poems Bonnie. I’ve begun wondering which of my favorites might show up in the pages. Almost like a deja vu… so intimate. And I’m not surprised that only two of the muses know one another. I hardly know how you keep up with the sum of their diversity. xxxooo
Thank you very much, dear poet friend. Check out “Two Angels Walk Into a Bar” on page 67. Smiles …
Congratulations Bonnie, and congratulations…
